How you can help
There are many ways to support scosa and South Australians living with disabilities. These are described in detail, but your options include becoming a donor or corporate partner, attending a scosa event, making scosa the charity beneficiary of your own event, joining our workplace giving program, or becoming a volunteer.
Why do we need community support?
Fundraising is vital if scosa is to enable South Australians living with disabilities to reach their full potential and live rewarding and inclusive lives.
While the NDIS will ensure a brighter and more exciting future for people living with disabilities, the scheme will not cover a number of important areas of our operations, including:
- Capital requirements, such as those associated with running and maintaining our Hubs, and keeping our fleet of 35 vans on the road to transport participants to different activities across Adelaide and regional areas.
- A number of specific programs and activities, such as our Maximum Potential Leadership Program that was recently introduced at scosa to develop the leadership capacity of a select group of new participants every year.
- Participant entry expenses to most community activities and attractions, including concerts, sporting events, group dinners and other important social activities.
- Trialling and development of new programs and activities to push the boundaries of opportunity and community inclusion for people living with disabilities.
Your support can really help to make a world of difference, right here in our community!
